In the middle of the craziness of having a baby and having two sets up grandparents in town my little boy turned 3! He got "the shaft" on the actual day, but he didn't really know and I think he was thoroughly confused about when his actual birthday was when it was all said and done. His bday was on Monday and we didn't do much but tell him Happy Bday. The Friday following both sets of grandparents were in town and we went to our favorite pizza shop, did cake and ice cream and presents. Then the following Tuesday we did a party in the park with his friends. So all in all it was a great Bday for him.

He wanted a Dinosaur Train cake but that sounded a bit too complicated for me to make a train, so he got a "Buddy" cake, his favorite Dinosaur Train character.
